I get the biggest kick out of how Reconquesta's from Mexico claim that the U.S. STOLE THEIR LAND!
I am Native American and this was originally OUR LAND.
Now how did the Mexican Flag come about to be placed on our soil without OUR permission?
Mexicans are NOT indigenous to the American southwest!
HYPOCRITES! AND LAND THIEVES!

Diane-I couldn't agree more. I am not Native American, but that issue was settled long ago. I am American...born and bred. I saw some pretty wild results of the reconquistas while monitoring the border with Chris Simcox, and I vowed then and there to do what I could to help from Kentucky. Please visit www.numbersusa.com if you haven't. You can send free faxes to Congress there, and it does help. Just look at what's been accomplished in the last couple of months. Thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment.--Mike
I will visit the site thanks!
I would rather have the American flag on U.S. soil as the Mexicans and
the Native Americans never really got along.
The Mexican government once offered large bounties for Apache scalps.
Yet Mexicans always act as if they were on the side of the Native American?
Mexicans kidnapped Navaho children to serve as slaves in Mexico.
Yet they claim they didn't own slaves?
Thanks to those who protect our borders.

I simply do not understand why abortion has taken the fore front on this issue! Perhaps only because it is a hot button! But there are many other cases where a child can seek treatment without parental consent, mainly anything having to do with mental health. Your kid could be suicidal and a parent may never be consulted or even acknowledged in these circumstances. I see no one screaming about this!!! If it is your child then parental consent is needed.period!!! i don't care if it is a band aid.

I can see where scalping and enslaving one's people could cause some resentment. You're welcome for the site. There are all kinds of actions you can take there to combat illegal immigration. Thanks again for your comments!--Mike
BLUE--I think you put this comment under the wrong article, but I will be happy to respond. I agree with you...parental notification--AND permission--should be required under any circumstance which concerns the medical treatment of a minor. Don't worry about the wrong article...at least I know you're reading! Thanks!--Mike
yeah i know that when it comes to illegal immigrants, my husband's department doesn't really do much about reporting and detaining. Police departments are too understaffed, especially in high crime neighborhoods to sit around and wait for Immigration to come and pick these people up. I don't really think a fence would be the answer because it will just slow them down. (unless it were electric...lol). I think the true answer is to get our government on the ball and eliminate the job source here. People say that those jobs need to be filled by these illegals, but those are the same people who claim that there are not enough jobs in america. well there's a few!

"I don't really think a fence would be the answer because it will just slow them down. (unless it were electric...lol)." You just earned yourself a reservation in Winston's 'time-out' chair for that one, young lady! LOL! But seriously, interior enforcement of immigration laws is a joke! Hopefully there will be enough public pressure on these guys in Congress to put some teeth in their bills. It is ridiculous to think of these cities like LA and the other 'sanctuary cities.' To think that a cop can't arrest an illegal for being...well...illegal. Seems like a no-brainer to me. BTW-tell your hubby we appreciate his comittment to law and order. God Bless--Mike
right entry right comment lol!! I guess I would be considered a bleeding heart liberal here but I am gonna post anyway! Mexican Illegals are doing jobs that Americans find "LOWLY". They are taking the money back to their country and feeding their families, Gosh isn't that the American way? In saying that, I do admit that this country needs to treat americans to better wage earning potential than they have done thus far. I could rage on about Mexicans as I have had them in my employ, and they work very hard for their wages. They have a better work ethic overall and an entirely superior sense of family ethic that is refreshing. As in any society or culture you have your exceptions.

Blu--Even 'bleeding-hearts' are welcome to post on my blog! I will not restrict one's speech, short of something personally abusive to me or another 'poster.' I am of the (naturally right!) opinion that the reason Americans will not do these so-called unfillable jobs is not because they are 'lowly,' but rather, as you said, the wages are demeaning. As for the work ethic, I think one could spend years studying societal reasons for that. We dumb down our children in public education, give those who won't work welfare, foodstamps, etc., and then tell them to get a job??? Ain't gonna happen with some folk. I love the discourse, though. Thanks--Mike
ah yes discourse and societal wrong doing are great fodder. I will on this point however relate to you that Americans "dream" of getting rich through the easiest possible means, my dealings with anyone spanish speaking has been very differant. Hard work equals good pay equals quality of family life and experience. It was a powerful lesson for me!

Blu--I will not argue with the FACT that Mexicans have a stronger work ethic, per capita, than Americans. A fact is a fact. However, I will not back down from my belief that we have done that to ourselves by just giving away money to those in our society too lazy to work. It's like hitting the lottery or something.--Mike
Okay Point taken Mike! BTW Very Glad to have crossed your path!! Now for my argument!! I agree that the money has flowed to the lazy, and I agree that the money has been filtered to those who do not deserve. But in the very tiniest chance that a child gets fed, an innocent baby well truthfully I would rather give the free passes. Yes I know there are plenty who abuse, but the few who don't??????? Yes I know I am hopelessly utopian,

"But in the very tiniest chance that a child gets fed, an innocent baby well truthfully I would rather give the free passes. Yes I know there are plenty who abuse, but the few who don't???????" I do not disagree with those who 'CAN'T' getting help, in fact,I will let you in on a little secret-I am the unfortunate recipient of 6 back surgeries (I broke my back working at the age of 21), and short of having worked sporadically, I have also been the recipient of Disability payments. I am in no way suggesting that we not take care of those who truly need...I would be cutting my own throat. I am talking about girls who just go out and carelessly get pregnant, along with others who refuse to work simply because they don't want to, and then think they are ENTITLED to money. This has been a favorite tactic of liberals for a long time...give them just enough to survive, make them think they will starve if you are not in office, and then they HAVE to vote for you. I rarely hear that aspect discussed, but I am convinced that that is why some of these entitlement programs are so 'etched in stone.' I, too, am glad you crossed the "Right" path, as the Buhddists would say.--Mike
I do not have answers Mike! Without proclaiming political affiliation, I dare say Bush no longer suits the mood of the country!!! Having met the social welfare system myself(retarded babe) I am horrified at the system. My husband works two jobs, in order to have insurance and fill the monetary bill. I stay at home, as having a few babes with medical issues have destined it so. I did not do drugs, or carelessly procreate to earn money. I am of the valued few I guess, those who deserve monetary compensation. But I do not want what my weak government has to offer! the system is not easy despite those that think it so. Well it isn't easy for the honest.

Blu--It is a horrific experience. I had to fight for three years after (at that time) 4 back surgeries! I was in court more times than I care to recall, all to receive the small payment I get. I have great admiration for your labors of love there. God Bless--Mike
